Fires in the workplace can cause loss of life, serious injuries, and business disruption yet most are preventable. Employers are legally required to provide fire safety training to staff.

This course is designed for all employees, making it an excellent part of induction training. It introduces fire awareness, prevention, and safe response, and provides a foundation for those who may take on fire safety roles such as fire wardens or marshals.

• Common causes and behaviour of fire

• Fire safety legislation and responsibilities

• Fire prevention measures

• What to do if a fire breaks out

• Safe use of fire extinguishers

• Emergency evacuation procedures

Certification
Successful candidates receive a Level 1 qualification (Level 4 in Scotland).
